Kate Vereker is a British born Ceramicist whose curiosity in ceramics was sparked whilst visiting Japan, a culture that she has always been fascinated by and continues to draw from.

 

After graduating from Central Saint Martins with a degree in Ceramic Design and following several moves around the world Kate is now based in Los Angeles, working independently in her studio. Kate is driven by a love of process and inspired by the natural beauty of materials, both in clay and the textiles we use everyday. This is translated into unique pieces following two paths. One is to allow the natural appearance of unglazed porcelain to reveal texture alongside the exploration of hand made glazes and how they interact with the surface of the clay.
